'The Box that wanted to be a Ball' is a delightful story about a sheet of
flat cardboard called Emmett that is made into a box in the factory. He
really wanted to be a ball and tries hard to change his image. When Emmett
eventually meets up with a real ball called Dougal in a toy shop he
discovers that being a ball isn't all fun either! The story ends with both
Emmett and Dougal becoming firm friends and happy with what they really are.
The story is both written and fully illustrated in colour by Peter Bromhead
and is published by Scholastic New Zealand Limited.
